The delicate process of harvesting involves manually pulling out saffron strands from the purple flowers, ensuring the pedicle stays attached.
Afterward, the strands are sun-dried for at least two days to remove moisture, followed by a meticulous separation of the stronger red strands from the lighter orange or white parts.
This labor-intensive, traditional method ensures the highest quality saffron, rich in aroma, color, and flavor. It is best before 12 months from the date of packaging.
